Make a Tool Chest 6 day Woodworking Course
The Traditional tool chest course is designed for people with some experience of woodworking, who want to learn the principles of traditional hand cut dovetails, raised and fielded panels.
The course will start at 8am and finish approx 5pm and runs for 6 days.
Over the six days you should complete the main chest ready for you to divide the drawers etc at home.
Please bring a packed lunch or you can visit the Hop Pocket restaurant for a cooked meal should you want it. Tea & coffee will be provided.
The principles you will learn whilst on this course are
- How to make a traditional cabinet makers tool chest using pre-prepared timber.
- Traditional hand cut dovetails.
- Making a raised and fielded panelled lid using traditional hand tools.
1/4, 1/2,3/4 and 1 inch chisel, Tenon saw, No4 Hand plane, sliding bevel, square, marking knofe, mallet, and a coping saw.
