About Jon Cooper

Jon has been working with wood since he was a child.  Helped by his Grandfather he always knew he wanted to work with wood.  After gaining a GCSE A grade in woodwork he then went on to college at Ryecote wood in oxfordshire where he completed a BTEC national diploma in design crafts and a city and guilds in fine furniture Level 3.  He then went on to work for Alan Eldridge making furniture for places like the conran shop.  Leaving there after 3 years Jon worked in different places gaining experience in all sorts of different fields including windows, doors, oak framed building restoration of buildings and shop fitting.  He then went self employed and has been running his own company for 10years under the name of J.A.C.Joinery.  Now Jon feels it is time that he passed his extensive knowledge onto like minded people that would like to learn woodworking.
